In a press conference, the organizers of the International Film Festival in Guadalajara (FICG) announced the general program for its 33rd edition, which will also offer a great welcome to the film culture of Catalonia, guest of honor.

They also confirmed the presence of Guillermo del Toro, the most recent Oscar winner as best director and best film, who is also a member of the FICG Board.

"This edition is especially significant because the Performing Arts Ensemble joins the FICG as the main venue, and if that were not enough, we received Guillermo del Toro a few days after being awarded two Oscars," the General Rector of the University of Guadalajara, Tonatiuh Bravo Padilla.

For his part, Raúl Padilla López, president of the Board of Trustees of the International Film Festival in Guadalajara, highlighted the presence of another member of the Board, the Oscar winner, Guillermo del Toro.

For his part, Iván Trujillo Bolio, director of the International Film Festival in Guadalajara, said that this edition also marks the beginning of the activities of the FICG Cinematheque of the University of Guadalajara.
